We would like to give a warm welcome to four businesses who are now part of the Gleaner family. Throughout the year we have welcomed Silgo Lubricants and three Service station sites to Gleaners expanding team.
The purchase of Silgo Lubricants in June marks a milestone for both companies. Silgo Lubricants operate from their head office and warehouse in Purfleet, Essex. They have been operating for over 35 years’ as lubricants specialists, as well as being an authorised Shell Lubricants distributor for the UK. The acquisition ensures the companies together can provide a strong lubricants supply chain across the UK, ensuring customers continue to receive our reliable delivery service.
As part of a committed investment programme into our retail service stations, Gleaners has purchased three additional sites, bringing the number of company owned sites to 12. Seapark in Kinloss joined in August, shortly followed by Bridgend, Thurso, in September and finally Walkers, Dunoon, in December. As part of the investment programme, eight of our service stations will be undergoing refurbishment work to the fuel pumps, where new state of the art equipment will be installed.
