A Valentine’s Ceilidh Dance in aid of Diabetes UK will take place on Saturday 15th February at the Ardersier Memorial Hall, from 8pm – Midnight. We are pleased to be able to support the event by donating a raffle prize.

Cove Youth Football Club - Girls Under 13's
We were pleased to be able to donate a raffle prize to the Cove Young Girls Under 13's Football team, towards their 'Raffle and a Rock n Roll Bingo Night' at the beginning of February. Money raised will go towards transport to festivals through out the year.
The Courier - 'Win a Year of Fuel'
We will be sponsoring The Courier's 'Win Fuel for a Year' competition 2020. From Monday 13th January, The Courier will be giving their customers the chance to win a year's worth of fuel by collecting tockens from their paper. Mosstodloch Primary School
Mosstodloch Primary School are hosting a 'Family Tombola' on the 21st February 2020, to raise runds for the school. The successful event, will help enable to school to purchase sports equipment or fund buses for eductional excursions for the children. We were able to support the fundraising, by donation a prize for the fundraising.
Challenge 4000
A team of volunteers drove from Scotland to Banjul in Gambia to deliver vehicles including, a road rescue unit (kitted our with full emergency trauma kit), and a large passenger carrying van, (to be used as local transport).
Our Braemar Filling Station kindly donated a 'Car Care Package' containing bulbs, screen wash etc., to the Challenge 4000 team, to help them on their journey to Gambia.

The community of Invergarry village and primary school, are hosting their annual Childrens Christmas Party. We're pleased to have been able to make a donation towards the event.
Moray Diabetes Group Christmas Fayre
A donation was made towards the Moray Diabetes Group's Christmas Fayre taking place on Sunday 8th December. The event hosts stalls, refreshments, a raffle, bouncy castle, and a visit from Father Christmas himself!
Golden Spurtle Championships 2019
For the 2019 Golden Spurtle Championships, Gleaner were once again pleased to provide the gas cylinders used for cooking. It looked like a great day and congratulations to all the contestants.
Paul MacKinnon - Mull Rally 2019
A donation was made to Paul MacKinnon to cover the cost of the fuel used in the Mull Rally. Congratulations to Paul who went on to win the rally!
Ruaridh Allan - Mull Rally 2019
We were able to provide a donation to Ruaridh Allan to help cover some of the costs of his participation in the Beatson Mull Rally 2019. Congratulations to Ruaridh who came 78th out of 150 starters.

For the second year running we were able to provide a donation towards the maintenance of the Lismore Community Transport’s ‘Granny Bus’ service. Helping to provide transport for the residents of Lismore.
The charity football match between Old Firm Select Vs Elgin Albion Football Club, took place on Saturday 13th July. We were delighted to have been able to provide corporate sponsorship for the event.

Lhanbryde & St Andrews outdoor bowling club are hosted a Bingo evening on Saturday 3rd Aug, to raise funds for the club house. We were pleased to have been able to offer a prize donation for the event.
The Highland Hospice Grantown & District Fundraising Committee held a Charity Golf Tournament at the Grantown on Spey Golf Club on Thursday 16th May 2019. We were able to be a hole sponsor at the event.
Thurso Fire Station held a charity football match and auction to funds to buy lifesaving defibrillators in the community, as well as Stepping Stones and Caithness riding for the Disabled. We were pleased to support the event by making a donation
We were pleased to make a donation towards the Junior Shinty section of the Glengarry Shinty Club, towards the cost of their new camans.
A fundraising night is to be hosted on June 22nd 2019 in aid of Brain Tumour Research at Highland Rugby Club, Inverness. We were pleased to have been able to show support by donating a raffle prize for the occasion.
We recently made a donation towards Jamie Gunn’s charitable project. In the Summer months, Jamie will be travelling to an isolated village in Thailand , working alongside Pakanyor Foundation. The objective is to provide the village with fresh running water and storage tanks.
The MacTaggart Community Cyber Café hosted a Volunteers Awareness Day, where the volunteers were able to sit down as a group and reflect on the efforts and achievements made by the volunteers from the previous months/years. We were pleased to have been able to make a donation.
We recently made a donation towards Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation fundraising. Abbie Main was diagnosed with Sarcoma at the age of 10. When Abbie was told her illness was terminal, she began to formulate a plan to help others, drafting plans for the Charity. Abbie sadly passed away on Christmas Day in 2017, at the age of 14.
Since then, the foundation have worked tirelessly to support children affected by cancer across Scotland. The charity regularly visits children’s wards in Aberdeen, Inverness & Glasgow to deliver ‘goody bags’, they provide holidays both within the UK and abroad to those much in need of respite, the contribute towards hospital equipment and provide financial help to those facing financial burdens cancer can impose.

As an up and coming racing talent, we are pleased to have the opportunity to support and sponsor Matt McQueen.
Our Retail Manager for Branded Sites, Gary Coutts, was fortunate to have been able to visit Matt at Sutherland Arms Garage, Brora, owned by Matt’s grandparents Tommy and Hazel Sutherland. Gary was shown around the new kart and learnt about its design and features.

We are delighted to be sponsoring the cost of the medals for the Oban Primary Football Festival for the second year running. The event, which will take place on Saturday 27th April, is the association’s main fundraising event of the year. It allows the league to fund mandatory expenditure such as, SFA coach education, first aid courses, and renewing worn out equipment. Well done to all those taking part.
Our service station sites have named Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland as their Charity of the Year 2019. They will be organising and participating in fundraising activities throughout 2019, aiming to raise as much money as possible for the charity. We’re supporting Young Farmer Alistair Brunton, by donating funds towards the upcoming SAYFC (Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs) annual Agri Affair trip to California. The group of 16 will be departing on November 24th and returning on December 16th.
The purpose of the trip is to gain insight into farming in another country, while having the opportunity to talk to farmers first hand. The group will disseminate their stories to peers on their return, and will tweet and blog their experiences whilst away.
Daniel's Great Golf Challenge
On August 4th, our Boiler Maintenance Engineer, Daniel Cruikshank, played as part of a team taking on four rounds of golf (72 holes) in one day, in aid of Cancer Research UK. We’re happy to have been able to supported such a great cause. Well done Daniel!

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzhemier Scotland partnered with Fraser Park Bowling Club to host a Round Robin event on Saturday 11th August 2018. We were pleased to be able to support the event by donating a raffle prize. All proceeds from the event and raffle were donated to Alzheimer’s Scotland.
Caithness Show

Big Bills Big Cycle
We’re happy to be helping Willie fund the cost of the support vehicle fuel costs, on his upcoming ‘Big Bills Big Cycle’ from Land’s end to Oban. Willie will be undertaking the challenge, to cycle 737 miles in 7 days, in aid of Alzheimers Scotland, Beatson Cancer Charity, and Craighalbert Centre.

Cash 4 Kids
Our 10 months of fundraising, in aid of MFR’s Cash for Kids, came to a close at the end of 2017. We reached an incredible final amount of £5193.89. A massive thank you to all those who have donated and contributed, to help provide a helping hand to sick, disabled and disadvantaged children across the North of Scotland.
